What the heck is a digital digest?
Welcome to my first RitaVee Digital Digest. I like the word “Digest” better than “blog” since we are...welp, digesting a lot these days.
For those of you who may not know me, I am your digital passionista. I spend my days in the digital world, so that you don't have to. I create strategies and provide you with guides on how to market your business or professional brand. Why?
Well, because we all have that one thing that drives us, that wakes us up each day with a sense of purpose. This is my purpose; I help you to strategize and learn how to use all the tools to market your passion, mission, and business, online. I have always believed in the power of utilizing a website and social media for a greater good. Remember myspace or the websites with all the ads and banners? Think about how resourceful they were. This week's digital digest is about one of my favorite platforms, Instagram! I love Instagram because in my past life I was a photographer.
Instagram TV is here! A while back I shared on my Instagram that we would soon be able to share longer form videos. I never thought it would be in a stand alone app, or that it would be so much like YouTube, but not really.
What you need to know!
You can share up to one 1 hour videos. Some of you may not have this feature yet and can only share 10 minute videos.
Videos must be vertical, but there are a ton of apps that you can use to record and edit videos to upload onto IG TV.
When your audience comments they cannot see your video as they would on Facebook live, for instance; the screen gets blocked.
IG TV does not have any ads or monetization setup yet, but you know it’s coming.
